Born and raised in rural Maine (down the street from Joshua, actually), his love for reading and writing started early and stayed strong. With a library of Stephen King, Clive Barker, and Terry Brooks to start him off, it was only natural that imaginative work would eventually become his favorite form of invention. His love for literature and art as a means of communicating the universal human condition has remained constant in an ever-evolving life.
Some of his all-time favorite works include such diverse titles as Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel Cervantes, Under the Dome by Stephen King, Conan the Barbarian by Robert E. Howard, War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, all of the Shannara books by Terry Brooks, Weaveworld by Clive Barker, In Silent Graves by Gary Braunbeck, and anything that takes life seriously but still has fun with it.
Currently, Robert is working on his first full-length novel, Jheiron the Godless, the story of a displaced raid leader branded a heretic and exiled by the king he once faithfully served. Influenced greatly by the savagery and sexiness of the Conan stories as well as the philosophical ponderings of classic authors such as Dostoyevsky, it promises to be a uniquely brutal and enlightening experience.
